NAME
hello! my name is corrie pechan.
I am a pastry chef and artist based in the Chicagoland area. I believe that life should be both colorful and delicious, and my work helps fulfill that. I am a graduate of Johnson & Wales University with degrees in both Baking & Pastry Arts as well as Food Service Management. I have experience in all types of baking environments including restaurants, production bakeries, small pastry shops and high-volume banquet facilities. I specialize in cake decorating, but enjoy all aspects of the baking industry.
My passion for pastries comes from a desire to spread joy; I love using my creativity to bring smiles to people’s faces. Food brings people together; it is at the center of every family party, first date, birthday, and wedding. I am so grateful to be able to be a part of those stories through my art. Besides baking, I enjoy curling up with a good book, exploring fashion blogs, listening to some good alternative music (really loud), all things Hello Kitty, binge-watching Gilmore Girls and fresh floral bouquets.
